THE STINGER!!

    The Stinger represents the latest breakthrough in technology for jumping and breaking.  Most players are aware of the phenolic tip and ferrule cues that have revolutionized breaking and jumping.  These cues easily add three to five percent more power translated through the cue ball and into the shot.  Phenolic is hard and doesn't compress like leather, so more of your energy goes into the cue ball.

   The Stinger is the latest generation.  Although the tip looks like leather, it is not.  It is a high grade phenolic which is essentially layers of linen fabric impregnated with special resins.  The Stinger hits with the same power as other quality phenolic tipped cues, but it does it MORE ACCURATELY!    

The Stinger patent is on the design of the tip which is shaped with a "stem" or "stinger" that focuses the impact energy of jumping and breaking down the center of the shaft.  This reduces deflection and creates a large sweet spot.  Tiny differences in hit on the cue ball do not make the drastic differences in results that you are used to seeing.
